Port Adriano, Superyacht Marina, Mallorca

Port Adriano, the stunning new marina here on Mallorca is now complete and attracting some of the world´s finest superyachts.  Located just 9km from Palma in the south west of the island, the marina is a showcase for not only the yachts but also for fashion, yacht brokerage and gastronomy. 25,000 square metres of berths, 82 moorings for yachts and superyachts of between 20 and 80 metres all year round, and 100 metres in summer.    Designed by Phillipe Starck, the architecture is impressive at every turn. A day on the beach ... in March

A glorious Spring day today with people on the beach, soaking up the sunshine. The water is turquoise and it feels like the winter is behind us.  A lot more tourists are around too - a great week to visit the island.

Puerto Portals marina has woken up again, and the crew are busy working on (polishing!!) their yachts.

C'an Pastilla, Playa de Palma, Mallorca

Wednesday this week and the clear weather continued ... C'an Pastilla resort just by the Son San Juan airport is one of the first "British" resorts of the 1960's.  The huge sandy beach stretches 6km along Playa de Palma and over to Arenal.   The photos above are taken adjacent to the Club Maritimo San Antonio de la Playa; the Yacht Club.   Boys are on the beach were attempting to "beach surf" with kites and adapted skateboards.  In the (cold) sea were several kite surfers enjoying their sport due to the gusty wind.
