Puerto Portals Christmas Market 2014

A welcome return of the Puerto Portals Christmas market from 12th December to 6th January – a faithful recreation of the traditional Christmas markets of Germany and Austria, with wooden huts, carols, entertainment for young and old alike, workshops, music performances, food and plenty of fun.

On week days the market operates from 4pm to 9pm, and on holidays and at weekends it is open from 12 noon to 9 pm.

Puerto Portals in mid December

 Hard to imagine this is mid December, just a couple of days until Christmas

After a few stormy days it´s normal to have seaweed on the beaches at this time of year, but the sea still looks a beautiful turquoise.   Looking west towards Palma Nova and Magaluf.

This last weekend the Christmas lights in Palma were switched on.  Trees have been swathed in white lights and canopies looking like spiders´ webs have been spun across the main promenades.  A beautiful spectacle.
