Sunshine, blue skies and turquoise seas ...

Lunchtime today and the weather is fabulous!  The crystal clear water in the swimming pool is shimmering and the turquoise hues in the sea by the sandy beach are glistening.  What a marvellous winter's day.   We have seen; short sleeves, kaftans, shorts, flip-flops and many bare legs and arms!  The residents are still in jumpers and coats, although we are loosening our scarves a little. Time to don the sunglasses again.  The forecasters promise a glorious weekend!

Last weekend's snow!

Very rarely does it snow at sea level in Mallorca, however last weekend residents woke up to a magical white world where there was more than a dusting of snow.  This stunning photo shows Bendinat Castle in a winter wonderland.   The snow only lasted one day as temperatures rose again, however on higher ground the snow still remains.           Photo courtesy of cjn.
